A Little About Amber Adams
Amber Adams (DCG Faculty) – is a graduate of the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts and received her BFA in Ballet and Communication Arts from Marymount Manhattan College. Amber studied with American Ballet Theater, Joffery Ballet, the NY Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts School of Film and Television, Steps on Broadway and many other schools around the world. Amber performed in the off- Broadway shows “Happenstance” and “8 Million Protagonists” and has danced for numerous New York City-based choreographers. Some of her North Carolina professional credits include: Oklahoma!, Cabaret, Rocky Horror, A Tea for Ruby (Raleigh Dance Theatre), and The Nutcracker (Wilmington Ballet). Most recently, Amber taught for the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC. She also choreographs and directs dance films for Campbell College, Dixon Place Theater, Bridge for Dance, and Gorilla Tango Theater, the Dance Films Association and Cucalorus Film Festival. She is a producer of the Dance on Camera Festival at Lincoln Center and a member of NYWIFT. She and her husband own Dock Street Productions producing films for social change (Finding Home: A film for national Adoption Day available on Amazon) and continue to run child-advocacy programs. DCG welcomes Amber to the studio and is excited for her to teach the DCG students in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and Pilates.
